US health care benefits company Aetna has introduced individual health insurance policies to Costco members in Florida, in a move to deliver value and convenience to individuals and families.

Insured by Aetna, the Costco Personal Health Insurance program comprises five plans and delivers an array of medical benefits, dental options, a widespread network of doctors and hospitals.

Additionally, it also caters various supportive services, tools and information, customized to fulfill the requirements of the members.

Commenting on the offering, Costco insurance services director John Conlon said, "There are a variety of plan types to choose from, each offering the right combination of quality, value, and special members-only benefits."

The insurance program is already available in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia.

Delivering additional benefits including lower co-pays on prescriptions at Costco pharmacies, all the health insurance policies have special features and lower monthly premiums settled only for the members.

Aetna serves nearly 37.3 million customers and delivers an array of traditional, voluntary and consumer-directed health insurance products and related services, including medical, pharmacy, dental, behavioral health, group life and disability plans, and medical management capabilities, among others.
