Fresh capital has been injected into it to meet the challenges in the industry

Activa Assurances of Cameroon (Activa) has acquired Global Alliance Insurance, and rebranded it as Activa International Insurance Company (Ghana), reported the Ghanian Times.

The re-branding is expected to revitalize the insurance company as fresh capital has been injected into it to meet the challenges in the industry.

Stephen Kyerematen, Managing Director, said: “For now the company will rely on client orientation, harnessing of employee intelligence and efficient use of technology in support of client satisfaction.”

Oteng Gyasi, President of Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), has praised Activa for being the first African insurance company to cross boundaries and language barriers, to operate in other countries including Ghana. Mr. Gyasi said that the good part of insurance is how best it can cover risk involved, not the premium.

Global Alliance is an insurance company with expertise in short term insurance, and underwriting large corporate risks, industrial risks.
