ACE Westchester , US-based group has hired Bob Meyer as president, he will be based in Georgia, and will be responsible for leading overall efforts, including new business development, strategic direction, and implementation of underwriting strategy and product development of all property products and services.

Mr Meyer will report to Dennis Crosby, president and CEO of ACE Westchester, and on a matrix basis, will report to Paul McNamee, president of North American property, ACE Group.

ACE Westchester also announces the retirement of Allan Sanderson, who has served as president, ACE Westchester property since 2004, and has held various senior leadership positions in ACE Westchester’s property division over the past fifteen years.

Mr Crosby, said: “With his proven track record of technical underwriting, leadership, and vast industry knowledge, Bob is ideally suited to lead property underwriting operations as we continue to grow the wholesale-focused property operations of ACE Westchester. I am confident Bob’s record of success will serve our company well as we set the stage for a strong future.

Al has been instrumental in the growth and development of ACE Westchester’s Property operations, and his dedication and expertise have greatly contributed to its success.We wish him well in the future.”

With more than 25 years of experience in the insurance arena, Mr Meyer most recently served as senior vice president, ACE Westchester property, eastern regional operations, since 2004, where he led the property underwriting operations for the Roswell, Chicago and New York regional offices.

He previously served as chief underwriting officer for ACE Westchester’s property division, a position he held since 2002, and prior to that, he was vice president, ACE Westchester global property regional operations, in Roswell, Georgia.
