To lead the company's property and casuality insurance capabilities

The ACE Group has appointed Michael Furgueson as president, multinational client group, ACE Overseas General. In this newly created role, he will be responsible for leading the company’s commercial property and casualty insurance capabilities targeted to large multinational clients based outside North America.

Mr Furgueson will be based in New York and report to John Keogh, CEO, ACE Overseas General, he will work with the company’s international product line and regional management to deliver the company’s insurance products and services to companies based in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia Pacific. He will also coordinate the service capabilities of ACE’s international network for the benefit of multinational clients based in North America

Mike has demonstrated that he has the global industry experience and leadership skills to further develop ACE’s capabilities and bring to bear our operations around the globe to optimally deliver those services required by our multinational clients.”

Mr Furgueson had been executive vice president, international commercial and multinational lines, since 2007. He joined ACE in 2002 as EVP, financial lines, he was named president and COO, ACE Europe, and oversaw the expansion of ACE into new territories, including Switzerland and Poland, and the introduction of new products throughout the European region.

Mr Furgueson became president of ACE’s UK and Ireland business in 2005. He joined ACE from the financial lines division of Kemper Insurance Companies.
