ACE Tempest Re, the global reinsurance business of the ACE Group, has appointed David Mann as senior underwriter, structured and medical malpractice reinsurance, effective from 1 January 2013.
Based in London, Mann in his new role will be responsible for the performance and development of medical malpractice reinsurance accounts within ACE Tempest Re International.
Mann will also continue to oversee the structured account outside the US, underwritten out of London and will report to ACE Tempest Re International managing director Steve Roberts.
Currently serving ACE Tempest Re International as senior underwriter, structured reinsurance, Mann will replace Andrew Innes, who will retire after serving 33 years at ACE.
With more than 15 years, Mann has experience in underwriting and international casualty treaty reinsurance which include medical malpractice treaty on both a traditional and structured basis.
Mann held service as underwriter of worldwide structured reinsurance and US casualty treaty reinsurance at Aspen Re in Bermuda as well as in the London market and at Lloyd’s, prior to joining ACE.
