The ACE Group has made new leadership appointments in its Aerospace insurance operations, part of the company’s North American Property and Specialty Lines Division.

The company has appointed Stephen Dinsdale as chairman of ACE USA Aerospace, which comprises Airport & Special Risks, Satellites, and ACE’s participation in the US Aircraft Insurance Group (USAIG) aviation pool.

In this new role, Dinsdale will provide guidance to the industry and lead efforts relating to the placement of ACE’s aerospace reinsurance programs.

Dinsdale will continue to be based in New Orleans and report to Paul McNamee, Division President, North America Property and Specialty Lines.

In addition, Jerry Ruth has been appointed to senior vice president of ACE USA Airports & Special Risks, a unit which specializes in underwriting airport risks and aircraft owned and operated by government entities.

Based in New Orleans, Ruth will oversee the unit’s national management, underwriting and overall operations.
