ACE Group, a multiline property and casualty insurer has promoted two officers with immediate effect as part of its efforts to strengthen its management and underwriting team.
Current Major Risks casualty manager Mike Reid has been promoted as Casualty Product Line Manager for the UK and Ireland.
Based in London, Reid will oversee all aspects of the region’s casualty insurance business lines, including setting strategy and direction and ensuring profitable growth and will report to David Robinson, regional president of the UK and Ireland.
Senior Casualty Underwriter Stuart Brown has been named the casualty manager for Major Risks.
Brown, who will report to Mike Reid, will be responsible for all casualty business within ACE’s major risks customer segment, including relationship management with key brokers and clients.
ACE European Group chairman Andrew Kendrick said the latest promotions underlines the company’s commitment to build a strong UK and Ireland team with the market knowledge and underwriting experience commensurate with its future ambitions for the business.
The company also announced promotions to three officers on 20 April 2012.
