ABD Insurance and Financial Services (ABD) announced the addition of new insurance and technology offerings in their Life Science Practice: a Client Portal and Clinical Trial Pac coverage.

Life science companies require an extraordinary range of expertise in insurance, primarily around product liability and clinical trials.

We’ve built our practice to anticipate these needs, and to provide effective, proactive counsel and solutions along the way.

Using technology for good is one of ABD’s core tenets. Our life sciences clients need real-time access to information that allows them to manage insurance and risk management functions within their organizations with ease and efficiency.

Our Client Portal helps them accomplish this, creating a single source of information across all lines of business in a secure, cloud-based platform. The portal can be accessed on any browser or operating system, and gives clients the ability to store, share, upload, and download documents – no matter where they are. The portal also provides access to worldwide clinical trials information and quotes, claim updates, insurance certificates and auto ID cards, and policy specifics.

The Client Portal includes ABD’s proprietary Clinical Trial Insurance Platform, and is available 24/7 from anywhere in the world. The landing page dashboard shows snapshots of recent country-specific insurance updates, among other features. Clients can review country-specific insurance requirements by clicking on an interactive country map by region.

"We’re making it easier for our life science clients to find important information fast," says Cristina Varner, ABD’s Life Science Practice Leader. "We know time is of the essence, which is why we are always looking for innovations that make a real, tangible difference."

ABD’s second offering, Clinical Trial Pac coverage, is a proprietary clinical trial solution that affords clinical trial stage companies a comprehensive Product Liability/Clinical Trials insurance program.

This program includes a suite of newly agreed upon endorsements, and differs from more traditional insurance programs in that it offers several important coverage grants not currently available to clinical stage companies. This Clinical Trial Pac coverage is priced competitively, and delivers a superior insurance product designed to protect life science companies’ key area of exposure – their clinical trials.

"Clinical trials are the number one area of focus for many life science companies today," says Rod Sockolov, ABD Executive Vice President. "Our new coverage option will allow our clients to sleep better at night, knowing that their unique risks and exposures have been considered."

With these new offerings, ABD continues to push the envelope on technology innovations and deliver thoughtful, need-centric coverage to our diverse clients. We are dedicated to helping life science companies move their businesses forward with confidence, knowing they have a risk and reward strategy that fits the unique needs of their industry.
