Unum Group, a provider of group and individual income-protection insurance products, has announced that Kathy Owen has been appointed as the chief information officer for its US division.
Ms Owen was formerly senior vice president of information technology business applications. In her new capacity, she will continue to lead the business applications areas and will assume responsibility for IT operations, risk management and corporate systems.
Additionally, Brent Rogers, formerly senior vice president of operations and corporate systems, has been named chief technology officer for Unum US, reporting to Ms Owen. Mr Rogers has been with the company since 1984.
