UK based Willis Group Holdings will open a new superyacht insurance broking office at the MB92 shipyard in Barcelona, Spain in September 2012.
Willis Global Marine managing director Neil Macnaughtan said that the European large yacht market remains surprisingly resilient despite turbulence in world economic markets.
"Willis’ new office in Barcelona demonstrates our commitment to clients, owners and operators in the Mediterranean region, which is important for growth and also continues our support to the large yacht industry globally," Macnaughtan said.
The company already has Superyacht insurance offices in London, Ipswich, Amsterdam, Singapore, Sydney and Fort Lauderdale.
Willis through its subsidiaries and affiliates offers a range of insurance brokerage and risk management consulting services to worldwide clients.
