Towers Watson, a New York-based professional services company, has released a new version of its Emblem 4.3 pricing software for property & casualty (P&C) insurers.

Dubbed Emblem XE 4.3, the latest version performs 20% faster than the previous editions, and has been designed for the companies having exceptionally large data sets, multiple processors of up to 128 processor threads and 64-bit systems.

The software has already performed five times faster than its earlier edition version and 30 times faster than its previous standard edition during comparative tests on a multitude of typical pricing models and hardware/software configurations.

Towers Watson global P&C pricing and product management leader Duncan Anderson said, ”These are substantial speed improvements that will help companies explore their data more thoroughly and maximize their profitability.”

Emblem is widely used by more than 1,400 P&C insurers to model claim experience and business demand in a bid to price premiums effectively across the globe.

The software solution is also being used by various leading life insurers for enhancing mortality analysis.
