Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

NFP Property & Casualty executive vice-president and CEO Terrence Scali said: "NFP is committed to providing a broader set of insurance services and high-quality products to meet the needs of our clients.

"WIS’ diverse base of business allows us to strengthen our insurance solutions and support our national expansion of NFP Property & Casualty. We’re pleased to welcome them to the NFP family."

WIS is a full-service property and casualty agency, which is providing personal and commercial lines coverage and group health and welfare products and services from 80 years.

Under the deal, WIS’ owner and president Bill Weber has joined as managing director in NFP Property & Casualty and will report to NFP Property & Casualty regional president Ed Kurowski.

Weber said: "NFP is committed to providing a broader set of insurance services and high-quality products to meet the needs of our clients."

Earlier this month, NFP also acquired UK-based Mackenzie Taylor Benefits Consultants (MTBC) that provides services in pensions, health care plans, voluntary benefits and risk benefits.

With around 3,200 employees, NFP offers employee benefits, property & casualty, retirement, and individual insurance and wealth management solutions.
