US-based underwriter NexTier Insurance Services has acquired Armstrong Insurance Services, for an undisclosed sum.
Based on the term of the agreement, former owners of Armstrong Insurance Alan Bowser and John Armitage will work with NexTier as independent agents.
Commenting on the acquisition, NexTier Insurance Services president Rick Putnam said the acquisition will enhance its service offerings and offers better customers services in the region.
"The Kittanning and Franklin Village Mall office will now have access to over twenty-five insurance companies, providing additional options for Armstrong’s customers," Putnam commented.
NexTier Insurance Services operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of NexTier, Inc., and delivers numerous insurance products and services to individuals and businesses throughout western Pennsylvania.
Having $500m in assets with corporate offices in Butler and Wexford, NexTier Inc., manages operations through banking, insurance and wealth management subsidiaries.
