QBE the Americas, a division of Australia's QBE Insurance Group, has appointed Chris Fish as its CFO. Mr Fish has been with QBE since 1995 and has held several key positions within the company's finance organization.
Mr Fish moves into this senior management position from his role as CFO and executive vice president of QBE Specialty and QBE Reinsurance, two business units of QBE the Americas.
In his former role, Mr Fish was responsible for overseeing five functional departments including financial services, tax, actuarial, internal audit and risk, and strategic planning. He has more than 25 of experience within the financial services industry, holding management positions at American International Group and Reinsurance Corporation of New York before joining QBE.
