The Navigators Group, a specialty insurance holding company, has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Navigators Holdings (UK) has launched an underwriting operation – Navigators A/S – in Copenhagen, Denmark. The move is part of the company’s strategy to expand the distribution of its current insurance products to the Nordic region.
The office, under the leadership of Thomas Harrild, managing director of Navigators A/S, will initially focus on management and professional liability products including directors and officers, fiduciary, employment practices, errors and omissions and professional liability. The target market is management and professional liability insurance solutions for privately held firms and public corporations in the Nordic regions.

We believe having a local presence in Denmark is a strategic opportunity to extend our reach in Scandinavia and provide quality insurance solutions in line with Navigators’ specialty niche focus. Navigators A/S will operate as a coverholder for Navigators Syndicate 1221 at Lloyd’s of London.
