DUAL International, a part of Hyperion Insurance Group, has selected Salmon, specialists in delivering e-business solutions for the insurance industry, to develop and implement a new pan-European web-based underwriting platform.
Under the agreement, Salmon will configure and implement SAFI (the Salmon application framework for insurance) to support DUAL International’s multi-lingual and multi-company operations in Spain, Germany and Italy, on a single instance of web-based solution.
Salmon said that the SAFI is a series of pre-configured, reusable and customisable components that combine with a mature project delivery methodology. It facilitates the delivery of insurance solutions on a refined and open IT architecture, lowering risks inherent in launching new web-based Insurance solutions, or replacing existing underwriting platforms.
In addition, SAFI spans quote, bind, renewal, risk maintenance, claim notification, claim maintenance, receipts, payments and outward reinsurance.

By choosing SAFI we will meet these aims and also be able to launch new products more quickly, eliminating traditional paper based processes and removing the need to liaise with third party software providers to make changes to our platform.
