Montpelier Re Holdings, a provider of short-tail reinsurance and other specialty lines, has named Dick Nenaber as the new CEO of Montpelier US Insurance Company (MUSIC).

Mr Nenaber has been president of MUSIC since its inception in 2007, and has 33 years of industry experience. In his new role, Mr Nenaber will report directly to Christopher Harris, president and CEO of Montpelier.

The Company also announced that Stanley Kott, CEO of Montpelier US, is stepping down from that role, but will remain a special advisor to MUSIC for the next twelve months.

Mr. Harris, said: “Stan’s leadership has been invaluable in building and successfully positioning our US operation for further growth, and we thank him for his important contributions. MUSIC is off to a strong start in 2010 and our outlook for that business remains positive.”
