The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian), a provider of employee benefits, said that it will expand its dental PPO network coverage with the acquisition of Nevada-based Preferred Dental.

According to company, this deal has both long-term and short-term benefits including enhanced dental PPO network discounts in Nevada by 6%; by adding around 800 dentists to DentalGuard Preferred Network with Preferred Dental Network; additional Nevada-based resources to continue commitment to network growth; and stability and consistency for existing Guardian customers.

The deal ensures that established national policies and procedures are followed; and also will help the company to increase the share of both large and small businesses that select its dental plans.

Jim Pogue, senior vice president of Group Insurance at Guardian, said: “This acquisition demonstrates Guardian’s commitment to our flagship dental business and the continued growth of our PPO network both nationally and in Nevada.
