ACE hires new head for Continental Europe ACE Tempest Re

ACE Group has appointed Matthias Meyenhofer as new head of Continental Europe ACE Tempest Re International.

Based in Zurich, Switzerland, Meyenhofer will provide leadership and co-ordination for ACE’s reinsurance business, with a focus on continuing the development and expansion of Continental European platform.

Meyenhofer will reporting to Steve Roberts, managing director, ACE Tempest Re International

Meyenhofer will join ACE from AXIS Capital in Zurich, where he was vice president. He was a reinsurance treaty underwriter since 2006. Prior to this, he worked in AXIS Capital’s property catastrophe business.

Roberts said his extensive experience of the European reinsurance market and will be instrumental in determining future strategy and growth in the successful reinsurance business.
