Starr Indemnity & Liability, a member of Starr Companies, has appointed Lawrence Grimes as new executive managing director of Workers' Compensation & Commercial Auto.
In this role, Grimes will report directly to Jim Vendetti, executive vice president & chief underwriting officer of Starr Indemnity.
Grimes brings 35 years of senior underwriting management experience to Starr Indemnity. His experience includes service on various state and national boards & bureaus as well as advisory and rating organizations.
Vendetti said Grimes will make an important contribution to enhancing both of these important platforms.
Starr Indemnity provides customized property and casualty insurance and accident & health insurance products together with accompanying loss control, claims management, administrative and reinsurance services to its policyholders.
