Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America, a part of Allianz group, has appointed Brian Muench as new vice president of investments.
In this new role, Muench will be responsible for investment and portfolio management for Allianz Life’s variable annuity investment option platform and will serve as president of Allianz Investment Management, a registered investment adviser with the SEC and wholly owned subsidiary of Allianz Life.
During his 13 years with Allianz, Muench has served in various investment management roles, most recently as vice president of asset manager selection.
Prior to joining Allianz Life, Muench was with The Principal Financial Group.
Allianz Life chief investment officer Axel Zehren said as the organization continues to evolve, we need to enhance the investment strategy.
"Brian will be instrumental in this process and provide the leadership necessary to meet our company goals," Zehren said.
