The Hanover Insurance Group has been selected by Massachusetts Higher Education Consortium (MHEC) for the commercial auto insurance program for MHEC's member institutions.

The auto insurance program was developed in partnership with the Sullivan Group an independent insurance agency specializing in property and casualty insurance, life insurance, employee benefits, and risk management services with offices in of Worcester, Mass. and Needham, Mass.

The Hanover also will offer the program through other partner agents who specialize in writing educational institutions.

Through the program, The Hanover will offer endorsements that let customers expand or extend coverages; an auto dividends program, which rewards good driving records and dedicated loss control and claims services.

MHEC is a purchasing consortium for higher education in New England and representing 89 member schools. In addition, public television stations, libraries, private secondary schools and autonomous state agencies are eligible for membership.

The Hanover’s Massachusetts commercial lines business regional vice president Bill Gross said the partnership with MHEC is a natural extension of deep commitment to providing solutions for businesses, non-profits and other organizations, as well as company’s efforts to support local communities and, in particular, educational facilities.
