Ceridian Corporation, a HR/payroll providers, has signed a letter of intent with Microsoft to collaborate on providing health insurance exchange solutions within the US.

For the health insurance exchange collaboration, Microsoft will be providing technology and state government expertise, while Ceridian will be providing Microsoft with health insurance exchange administrative knowledge and experience.

Ceridian said that the joint effort will involve a variety of health insurance exchange marketing and selling efforts to governmental entities within the US.

Ceridian will expand the use of Microsoft technologies for future exchange opportunities as their technology is scalable and adaptable to a diverse technology landscape.

Ceridian Exchange Services president John Hunter said this agreement means Ceridian and Microsoft will be bringing to market one of the most health insurance exchange solutions in the industry.

Microsoft national practice leader for Health Insurance Exchange Brian Russon said Ceridian has been a time tested Microsoft partner across multiple implementations, and this relationship ensures that states will be working with proven, reliable and dynamic technology experts.

"Ceridian’s ability to adapt to the variances of specific business needs will be pivotal as state governments build and define their health exchange needs," Russon said.
