A new study has indicated that many UK workers would be against the planned rise in retirement age that is set to take place over the next 40 years.

The survey of 750 workers, published by B&CE, indicates that 63% are not in favor of planned increases in retirement age, with younger workers the most opposed to the idea.

B&CE’s study shows that two thirds of 16-24 year old workers are against the plan, and only 20% of the demographic intend to work beyond 58 years. By 2044, the government intends to make the standard retirement age 68 years.
