XL Group's insurance segment has combined its Property Underwriting and XL Global Asset Protection Services (XL GAPS) engineers to form one unified team of nearly 200 risk engineers worldwide.

The firm has appointed six new regional engineering leaders as part of the move.

Based in New York, Marc Musikoff, who has been with XL GAPS since 2001, is the new head of North America, with additional responsibility of the Eastern region.

James Lemanski is responsible for the central region of North America and will be based in Chicago.

Anthony Forester will be responsible for the western region of North America, and will relocate from Chicago to Los Angeles for the role.

Huw Chandler will be in charge of Northern Europe and Australia Pacific.

Jan Van Caesbroeck will be responsible for Western Europe and Martin Vinkenfluegel will be responsible for central and eastern Europe.
