The British Insurance Broker's Association has launched a new crisis control scheme, in partnership with ISS Damage Control.

Under the scheme, in the event of a loss, a British Insurance Broker’s Association (BIBA) member or client will contact ISS, which will guarantee to have someone at the scene within four hours. As a result, the insured will receive four man hours of mitigation work free of charge.

ISS’ portfolio of restoration services covers electronics, IT equipment and data recovery; electrical control and power systems; mechanical manufacturing and process machinery; and structural decontamination.

BIBA crisis control will help minimize downtime and give the policy holder peace of mind that, if an incident occurs, their broker can assist with quick damage limitation control, which can be particularly advantageous in cases such as localized flooding. Members will receive a full damage assessment report with 24 hours.

Steve Foulsham, BIBA technical services officer, said: We are very excited about our scheme with such a well respected disaster recovery company as ISS Damage Control. Our bespoke BIBA crisis control scheme is a fantastic way of ensuring our members are able to offer their clients a unique free service, giving them the edge over non BIBA member brokers.
