Cunningham Lindsey, a global loss adjusting and claims management company, is likely to roll out a new suite of tools for claims, as part of a £6m technology investment programme.

The tools will be initially unveiled for AXA household customers, reported the Post Online.

Branded as Mi Claim, the development of the claims platform is likely to finish by second week of March, while a full launch to Axa direct and partnerships customers is scheduled to take place in April 2014.

Users can access Mi Claim online, which will offer policy holders with a ‘to-do list’ and advice on how to make a claim and up-to-date information on the progress of an active claim.

With plans to launch the new policyholder software to other insurers, the Mi Claim suite will also be made available to SME customers in future.

Cunningham Lindsey strategic business development director David Aiston was quoted by the news agency as saying that the investment for 2013 and 2014 represented an acknowledgement of the importance of analysis.

"That’s a big chunk of our disposable cash," Aiston told the news portal.

"It’s recognition that data is increasingly key, as well as being able to interpret it and make decisions from it."
