Great American Insurance has appointed Michael Haney as divisional vice president and will lead Great American Financial Resources and the Annuity & Supplemental Group’s Risk Management function.
In his new role, Haney will be responsible for activities that include asset/liability matching, hedging, risk analysis and mitigation strategies, and will also focus on product development process.
Prior to Great American Insurance, Michael served Allstate Insurance as the vice president of Asset-Liability Management.
With more than 20 years of experience in measuring and managing risk for liability-based accounts, Michael is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
The Great American Financial Resources through its subsidiaries offer traditional fixed, indexed and variable annuities and various forms of supplemental insurance such as Medicare supplement.
