Capacity Coverage Company of New Jersey (CCCNJ), an insurance and risk management intermediary, has acquired the assets of Interstate Motor Carriers Agency, expanding its transportation insurance capabilities.

Following this transaction, trucking insurance division of CCCNJ will be served by ‘Interstate Motor Carriers/Capacity Agency’, a newly formed company which will remain in New Jersey.

Interstate’s principal Gary Weindorf will continue as the agency’s president, CEO and will maintain an equity stake in the newly formed company.

According to CCCNJ, the merger will enable Interstate’s clients to access additional insurance products and services including commercial property, personal insurance, employee benefits, and financial planning.

Interstate’s president Gary Weindorf said Capacity Coverage’s operating model of specialty divisions in each of its niche market segments fits extremely well with Interstate’s focus on truck insurance.
