Initiate Systems and Datanomic Form Partnership for Data Quality

Initiate will resell Datanomic’s dn:Director™ enterprise data quality management product as an optional Initiate Master Data Service® component. The relationship expands Initiate’s data quality suite and offers customers a combined MDM and data quality solution from a single supplier. Customers can also leverage existing investments in enterprise data quality technologies through Initiate’s adapter programme.

The Initiate partnership with Datanomic offers value to enterprise customers pursuing MDM initiatives whether they seek a tightly-integrated solution from a single supplier or have yet to invest in data quality technologies. The combined MDM/data quality solution will deliver rapid time to value, low total cost of ownership and intuitive, easy-to-use tools orientated toward business users.

UK-based London Borough of Brent uses the combined solution to power its client index that draws from many disparate information systems, consolidates data and builds a single view of the borough’s citizens.

The Initiate and Datanomic joint solution is fundamental to improving London Borough of Brent’s customer service, said Tony Ellis, head of information technology for the borough.

Consolidated, comprehensive and accurate data is vital in our deployment of citizen-centric services and compliance with governmental legislation.

As the council undergoes an ambitious service-wide transformation, the client index is a real enabler for more efficient service provision. Bottom-line benefits are already being achieved in areas such as internal information sharing, licensing, provision of child care and increased fraud detection.

In September, the system will be integrated into our new CRM system providing staff with the accurate customer information needed to provide a high quality of customer service.

According to industry analyst Andy Hayler of The Information Difference, the combination of services gives companies more confidence.

For any organisation, combining MDM and data quality technologies leads to increased trust in critical business data by the downstream users who rely on that data, said Mr Hayler.

To realise these benefits fully, organisations need tight and well-orchestrated integration between their MDM platform and their data quality tools.
