Zurich Financial Services Group (Zurich), a provider of insurance-based financial services, has appointed Debra Broek, current CFO of Global Life, as deputy head of investor relations, effective from April 1, 2010, to support the head of investor relations in interfacing with investor community and rating agencies.

In her new role, Ms Broek will report to Malcolm Gilbert, head of investor relations and will be located in Zurich, Switzerland. She joined Zurich in 2007 as CFO of Global Life. Prior to this, she was chief accounting officer for Winterthur Group.

Joachim Masur, current group controller, has been named as the new CFO of Global Life for leading the Global Life finance team to support the delivery of its strategic aspirations. He will report to Mario Greco, CEO of Global Life, and will be located in Zurich, Switzerland.

Mr Masur joined Zurich in 2005 as group controller. Prior to this he was a partner with financial services practice of KPMG in Germany.

Scott Egan, current group head of operations, planning and performance management, has been named as the new group controller. In his new role, he will bring together the group controller team with his existing group planning and performance management responsibilities. He will report to Dieter Wemmer, CFO of Zurich, and will be located in Zurich, Switzerland.

Mr Egan joined Zurich in late 2007 as CFO for UK General Insurance. Previously he held a number of senior finance and non finance positions at Aviva.
