Zurich Financial Services Group has named Dan Dunmoyer as the new head of government and industry affairs (GAIA) for the Americas. He will be located in Los Angeles, California.

In his new role, Mr Dunmoyer will head Zurich’s entire state and federal legislative and regulatory affairs activities in the Americas. He will report into Paul Hopkins, regional chairman of the Americas, and Peter Buomberger, group head of GAIA at Zurich.

Mr Dunmoyer had joined Zurich in December 2008 as SVP of government and industry affairs and head of state legislative and regulatory affairs. He most recently was chief cabinet secretary and deputy chief of staff at California Government. He also served as president and CEO of Personal Insurance Federation of California.
