North America-based Zurich has reached an agreement with MiniCo Insurance to provide agribusiness insurance program in select states.

MiniCo will begin underwriting coverage in January 2012.

The program will be managed by Jim Henry chief underwriting officer, Kevin DeMoss vice president of Product Development while Don Sedlacek vice president will be responsible for agribusiness claims.

Zurich chief underwriting officer Jim Henry said that MiniCo Agri offers independent agents comprehensive agribusiness insurance product for their insureds backed by the financial stability and program experience of Zurich.

Zurich, part of Zurich Financial Services Group, is a multi-line insurance provider with a global network of subsidiaries and offices in Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East as well as other markets.

MiniCo Insurance Agency, founded in 1974, offers insurance products for commercial agribusiness and farming operations including unique coverages such as green property and equipment breakdown coverage.
