Zurich Financial Services has appointed Thomas Huerlimann, currently CEO global corporate in Europe, as new CEO Global Corporate, effective immediately.

In his new role, Huerlimann will be leading and further developing Zurich’s global corporate business, which is serving large and multinational customers.

He will report to CEO General Insurance Mario Greco, and will be located in Zurich.

Huerlimann will succeed Mario Vitale, who has decided to take a role with Aspen, a reinsurance/insurance company in US.

Huerlimann joined Zurich as global head of Group Reinsurance in 2003. In 2005, he became chief operating officer for Zurich Global Corporate, and in June 2006 was appointed to his current position as CEO Global Corporate in Europe.
