Swiss insurer Zurich Financial Services has appointed Luca Marighetti as group head of strategy, effective 1 July 2011.
In his new role, he will be responsible for leading the process of defining Zurich’s group strategy and ensure a strong link to the planning process and support the CEO in reviewing existing strategies and monitoring execution.
Based in Zurich, Marighetti will succeed Christian Carl who will fully focus on his function as group head of M&A. Marighetti will report directly to CEO Martin Senn.
Marighetti has held a number of senior roles at Procter & Gamble, SC Johnson, McKinsey & Company, Deutsche Bank and Allianz Group, and also worked as an independent strategic management consultant.
