Access to a clinically-qualified professional through a freephone helpline
XL Insurance, the insurance operations of XL Capital, has launched absence management product (AM) as part of its UK Employers Liability (EL) policy.
According to XL Insurance, AM offers employees who are absent from work due to injury or sickness, access to a clinically-qualified professional through a freephone helpline. The helpline assessment and advice can range from an initial triage service to a complete professional health evaluation.
The proficient rehabilitation support will be offered by the IPRS Group, an independent physiotherapy and rehabilitation provider, supporting companies’ AM programs.
Stuart Sutherland, Underwriting Manager of UK Primary Casualty for XL Insurance, said: “Our product provides fast and independent advice in order to get the right treatment in place. Any delay in treatment will only prolong the staff absence and the costs for all involved. Our program offers the flexibility to work around a company’s existing occupational health system.”
XL Insurance’s EL with AM program, is specifically designed to address the needs of large corporations in addition to medium-sized companies.
