XL Insurance, the global insurance operations of XL Group, has promoted William Mc Enery to senior vice president (SVP) & central region executive, North America Property & Casualty (P&C).
Based in Chicago, he will report to Uwe Schoberth, executive vice president (EVP) & head of North America Property & Casualty (P&C) regional management.
Previously US Middle Market Manager – Central Region, Mc Enery will now direct business development activities across XL Insurance’s P&C lines in a 19-state region.
Mc Enery joined XL Insurance in 2008 to help build its upper middle market unit which provides multiline coverages to large and mid-size businesses.
Prior to his tenure with XL Insurance, Mc Enery was central region vice president and chief underwriting officer for North American field operations for CNA Insurance Company.
He has 30 years of experience, and held numerous underwriting management positions with CNA and Zurich Insurance.
Schoberth said Bill’s initiative and collaborative approach were very instrumental in helping XL Insurance not only build a new book of business but also strengthen the broker and customer relationships throughout the Central US.
