XL Insurance has strengthened its international property business with new appointments to provide solutions that anticipate and respond to clients' needs.
Ralf Brunner has been appointed as property underwriting manager for Germany and Switzerland.
Brunner will re-join XL Insurance having spent just over two years with Allianz global corporate & specialty in Germany, where he was team leader for property underwriting.
Prior to Allianz, Brunner was with XL Insurance in Germany from 2004 until 2009. He has more than 20 years of industry experience as property underwriter for the German speaking countries.
Based in Munich, Brunner will report to Uwe Kutschera, currently property underwriting manager for Germany.
The insurer said Kutschera’s responsibilities will expand to cover Austria, CIS/Russia, Germany, Italy and Switzerland.
In addition, Jurgen Cherreck will take on a new role to help lead strategic growth and focus on underwriting across XL Insurance’s international property business.
Cherreck is currently property underwriting manager Switzerland and Southern & Eastern Europe.
