XL Insurance, the global insurance operations of XL Group, has appointed Roxanne Mitchell as president of its Excess & Surplus lines unit.
In her new role Mitchell will enhance XL Insurance’s E&S underwriting activity and market position.
She reports to Seraina Maag, who is chief executive of North America property/casualty at XL, and is based in the firms’s Chicago office.
John DiBiasi continues in his role as XL Insurance’s Chief Underwriting Officer – E&S for Casualty.
Reporting to Mitchell, he will be working closely with her to enhance XL Insurance’s E&S underwriting activity and market position.
Mitchell will join XL after 20 years at Lexington Insurance, a Chartis unit, where she most recently was zonal executive for the Midwest region overseeing 100 employees in five offices servicing 14 states.
