XL Group has established a new office in Dallas, in a bid to expand its facultative reinsurance operations in the US.
The new Property Facultative Western Region Dallas office will be led by XL Western regional manager Dean Wolfe, while the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office will be led by senior underwriter Margaret LoSapio.
Wolfe will report to XL managing director and manager of Property Facultative Reinsurance operations Kip Walker who is based in Atlanta.
In the new role, Wolfe will be responsible for XL’s reinsurance underwriting operations in Dallas, Texas and Walnut Creek, California.
Wolfe held service as senior underwriting roles at CNA Reinsurance and others, prior to joining XL.
LoSapio will be responsible for assisting Property Facultative book of business growth by underwriting national and global Property accounts and will report to XL’s reinsurance Property Facultative Division Eastern Region Manager William Rosa.
Prior to joining to XL, LoSapio served as property broker at Aon Risk Services as well as at Marsh Inc.
