XL Group, an insurance and reinsurance company, has appointed Kimberly Holmes as new senior vice president of Strategic Analytics.
In her new role, Holmes will be responsible for expanding XL’s use of risk analytics throughout the entire company. Working with all units of XL, including actuarial, risk management, underwriting, management information and information technology, she will be tasked with developing new ways of thinking about risk analysis, and delivering appropriate tools to ensure maximum impact of new initiatives for XL’s clients.
Holmes will report to Greg Hendrick, head of XL’s Office of Strategic Growth.
Holmes brings over 20 years of experience in the field of analytics and risk management in the insurance industry. Prior to joining XL, she was senior vice president and chief actuary of Endurance Risk Solutions, an insurance business at Endurance Specialty Insurance.
Holmes’ past work also includes Enterprise Reinsurance where she served as chief Actuary from 1998 to 2002 and General Reinsurance where she held various actuarial and underwriting roles.
XL Group CEO Mike McGavick said the rate of change and innovation occurring across the entire spectrum of society demands that a company like XL utilize the highest level of analytics and information to solve problems for clients. Kim will be integral to expanding use of best-in-class modeling across the entire company.
