XL has appointed Jason Harris as the new CEO of its International property and casualty (P&C) insurance business.
Based in London, Harris will report to CEO of XL’s insurance segment Greg Hendrick and will become a member of the insurance segment’s executive board.
Prior to XL, Harris has been with Chartis Insurance UK for six years, where he held a variety of roles in property and casualty underwriting executive positions.
He also served as the executive director commercial lines with responsibility for a diverse product mix for the UK.
Before joining Chartis, Harris worked for Chubb Insurance of Europe in 2006, where he held different positions for almost ten years.
Hendrick said that Harris will focus on delivering innovative solutions that anticipate and respond to its clients’ and brokers’ needs and will work with XL’s Global Distribution and Network unit.
