WR Berkley, an insurance holding company, has appointed Gerald King as new president of Facultative Resources, effective immediately.
King has more than 40 years of experience in property casualty reinsurance. He most recently served as Fac Re’s executive vice president and joined WR Berkley in 2005.
Fac Re is a broker market property casualty facultative underwriting manager. Fac Re underwrites reinsurance on behalf of US based domestic professional reinsurance company Berkley Insurance, a member company of WR Berkley.
WR Berkley Corporation chairman of the board and CEO William Berkley said that Fac Re’s leadership position in the facultative reinsurance marketplace will be well served by Jerry’s depth of experience and knowledge of the business.
