Wolters Kluwer Financial Services today introduced the NILS INsource Case Law Module which enables clients to identify and monitor case law developments for the issues relevant to their business.

The module is now available as part of NILS INsource, the definitive primary content resource for more than 10,000 insurance professionals and Departments of Insurance in the US.

The web-based regulatory research tool now accommodates searches for court opinions based on keyword, citation, date, case and party name, in addition to the standard searches for statutes and regulations based on terminology indexing, lines-of-business, and compliance topics and subtopics.

Sophisticated search capabilities provide insurance professionals deep insights into focused, accurate and timely content, significantly enhancing their compliance efforts.

"Compliance professionals need to be able to track whether a statute or regulation is the subject of litigation," said John O’Brien, direct of product management for Insurance Compliance Solutions at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services. "In order to be effective they must understand how legislation and regulatory actions are enforced by agencies and applied in the courts."

"Today’s complex regulatory environment requires insurance companies to monitor an increasingly vast and ever-changing array of regulatory material," said Pam Ewing, general manager of Insurance Compliance Solutions at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services.

"There are thousands of cases that impact this industry every year, and we can significantly lessen the burden compliance professionals face in being able to monitor litigation so they can determine the specific impacts that it may have on their business."
