Willis Group Holdings has appointed Stephen Wood, the company’s global group financial controller, as an interim chief financial officer. He will be responsible for external reporting, treasury and financial planning and analysis.

Mr Wood joined Willis in October 2006 with more than 19 years experience gained in banking, finance and public accounting. Earlier, he was divisional chief operating officer of annuities at GE Life (UK), a subsidiary of General Electric. Mr Wood will report to the chairman and CEO Joseph Plumeri, and will be based in London.
