International reinsurance broker Willis Re has completed the second stage of implementing Sequel’s Eclipse Broking software.
Implementation of the technology brings the number of Willis Group staff using Sequel’s platform for their insurance and reinsurance broking to over 2,000 across the globe.
The new software provides the firm one single platform to run its reinsurance broking, which currently supports 500 users based in London, Ipswich and Mumbai.
Third stage of the Eclipse Broking software programme will enable the North American Willis Re team to use the same by the middle of 2013.
Willis Re Global COO Iain Pocock said the company aims to actively invest in updating, integrating and streamlining processes and supporting technology to deliver better and faster service to its clients.
"It enables alignment of our IT across the direct and reinsurance elements of the group, providing benefits in managing and maintaining our global operation," Pocock added.
