International retail unit of the global insurance broker, Willis International has expanded its business with the creation of three regional business units under a new and expanded leadership.

Willis International has appointed Adam Garrard as CEO for Willis Asia and Roger Wilkinson as Willis Australasia chairman while regional CEO Scott Pickering will continue to lead Willis’ Middle East and Africa business.

Garrard, Wilkinson and Pickering, also serving as CEO for Willis South Africa, will report to Willis International CEO Tim Wright.

In his new role, Wilkinson will relocate from Hong Kong to Sydney to join Willis Australasia CEO Pieter Lindhout on 1 October 2012 to oversee 350 Associates in nine offices across Australasia.

Prior to joining Willis in 2005, Wilkinson served Marsh in a number of senior management roles in the Asia Pacific.

Garrard will transfer from London, UK to Singapore to oversee over 1,000 Associates in 42 offices across 11 countries, effective from 1 September 2012 and will report directly to Wright until a replacement is found.

Since joining Willis in 1994, Garrard served as managing director of Willis Asia Pacific from 2002 to 2005, and from 2005 to 2008 he led Willis’ Australasian business prior to his appointment as CEO of Willis Continental Europe in 2009.

Scott Pickering will continue to work with Willis’ Associate company Gras Savoye, as regional CEO for Willis’ Middle East and Africa business, to leverage the Group’s joint African business.
