Willis North America, the retail brokerage business unit of Willis Group, has launched Bed Bug Infestation Recovery solution for hotels and residential industries.
This product, developed in collaboration with Texas-based Professional Liability Insurance Services Lago Vista, offers a comprehensive risk management and insurance solution.
The product also offers a crisis management component, which can help reduce damage to an organization’s brand, Willis said.
According to the Willis, the BBIR product contains a range of solutions including coverage for the cost of decontamination, rehabilitation expenses and business interruption; and crisis management services.
Under the coverage decontamination services will be provided by pest control specialists including Orkin, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rollins.
BBIR senior vice president and program manager John Lafakis said any bed bug outbreak big or small has the potential to damage an organizations’ reputation or brand, resulting in financial loss.
"The BBIR product includes a team of experts that that can respond and coordinate with customers, the media, and regulatory authorities. This will go a long way towards minimizing the impact of an occurrence," Lafakis said.
