Insurance broker Willis Group Holdings has hired Nils Arne Fagerli as CEO of Willis Norway effective immediately.
Based in Oslo, Fagerli will report to Adam Garrard, Willis International CEO of Europe.
Garrard said, "With a wealth of experience in the insurance industry and excellent knowledge of the local marketplace, Nils’s appointment will further strengthen our position in the European market, and help us drive growth in one of the region’s more resilient economies."
Fagerli joins Willis from GIEK Credit Insurance, a credit insurer in the Norwegian market, where he was CEO and also served as executive vice president and director of corporate clients of financial services firm, Gjensidige Forsikring.
Willis Norway has four offices in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger and Larvik where its key business lines are marine, non-marine and employee benefits.
