Wholesale Trading Co-Op Insurance Services (WTC), a brokerage firm that serves privately-held retail insurance brokers in the US, has appointed Les Ross as the new managing partner in San Francisco.

The company said that Ross will become one of the new members of the WTC founding team working with retail broker members and specialty insurance markets across the US.

Prior to WTC, Ross was an executive vice president of Crump Insurance Services, and before that he was a principal with an underwriting management and wholesale brokerage firm located in New York City.

In addition to serving as current chairman of Surplus Line Association of California, Ross has been president of Professional Insurance Wholesalers Association of New York State, an officer and board member of Excess Line Association of New York.

Ross said that the WTC business model places business control and relationship leverage back where it has always belonged with client and their retail broker, and it enhances this synergy with direct alignment of client / broker needs and interests with those of high quality specialty carriers.
